Big problem!! Having seen Abba live in Sydney 1977 and London 1979 and London again in 2022 at Voyage and As someone who lives in Melbourne I would be there monthly.!! 🤞🤞🤞 bring it on!! I think rather than a long residency this could be an attempt to see whether or not they can construct a pack up and down version of voyage. I've been to the London show 3 times and parts of it look like it could be taken down and rebuilt. I live in Melbourne and there is so much space in Flemington (the suburb mentioned) this could be built in especially around the showgrounds.

What an awful thing to do to the greater audience, and almost humiliating to Alcazar. You are correct, the actual Voyage show is out of this world. I have traveled from Australia to London 3 times just to see the show (8 times in total) and I am always in doubt, am I actually seeing ABBA live? I was so disappointed about that fact. ABBA should have been there in person and nothing else. Also This ESC was a disaster. Swedish police seemed to be so weak. They could not protect free people against muslims who fought against ISRAEL: I feel so sorry for Sweden. The right wing in Europe used that on socmedia. We are lost against the muslims.And then they are such wonderful people among "THE MUSLIMS". But Sweden was not able to throw terrorism out of the country. Bjorn once said how scary he is about that development in Swedish society. Only ARAB CLANS in Sweden destroying and neglecting that wonderful philosophy of Sweden. I loved Sweden I came here in 1964 from Germany. I still love that country but there is something going on....hopefully Bobbys Brother thats ok for you!

This whole show was a disaster of epic proportions. If they let Käärijä win, as they should have, all of this would be avoided. Literally no one cares for Alcazar. Fortunately Johnny Logan saved the show.

BTW ABBA's GOLD remains in the UK top 10 for a second week (This week No9/Last week also No9- was 2 places up from 11)

How pathetic you sound. I can't believe how stupid people can be. I am a big fan of ABBA, but I never thought ABBA would appear in the contest live. They had clearly told this so many times and still people, including you, are whineing how "disappointed" they are. Really? No wonder the ABBA members wanted to stay away from this circus. The only surprise for me was that we could see a snippet from The Voyage concert. That's enough for me.

In some way ABBACADABRA is a pioneer musical that came some years before Stephen Sondheim's INTO THE WOODS. And even though Sondheim's musical is an adult reflection on what fairy tales represent, it keeps the idea of interpolate different plots from different classic fairy tales.

I hope it continues in London, with a new list of hits, so I could travel again from Chile to the Abba Avoyage Arena. 🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️🇨🇱😍♥️

I think it’s good that not a single member of ABBA personally showed up on this - pardon my language - sh*tshow of an ESC. Not only did I not expect it anyway - they said it themselves ages ago. As you said in your video - this constant teasing about ABBA during the show was really bad taste. On another note: I seriously believe that ABBA also deliberately kept their little official message brief…I‘m sure they all knew what a desaster this ESC might be (and what utter mess ESC has turned into over the past couple of years). They probably wouldn’t have wanted the current ESC nonsense to tarnish their legacy all too much. Just my thoughts.

I was disappointed bc although it was nice of Abba to do this, it did also come across as an advertisement for the London show. I know they had said they wouldn't go to the event, but that was a churlish decision. All they needed to do was appear at the end to present the trophy and everyone would've been happy, even Loreen.

I can't understand why they don't think that Stockholm is a good location for Voyage. Of course there should be an event in their native Sweden!

Maybe it's because I'm Swedish, but at no point did I expect ABBA to show up on stage. It is so obvious and they have made it clear(for many, many years at this point) that they don't really enjoy public events and being in the public eye anymore. Especially the women in the band; they live rather reclusive lives. They did get together for the whole Voyager thing, but that is a very rare occasion. I wish people would accept this and just MOVE ON! If they don't want to, they don't want to. And the joke about them having no impact on Brighton is a joke - but it's also true! People need to stop acting like artists and music have a bigger impact in this world than they actually do. ABBA has touched the hearts of many people and have had an impact on the Swedish music industry, but if they never existed the world would be pretty much the same. And that is OK! I think the ABBA members are more likely to chuckle a bit and agree with this joke compared to the people in this comment section that are so unneccesary pressed about it.

I would love voyage to come to Melbourne......Australia was a huge support base in the 70's.

Eurovision made ABBA famous. The least they could do was sing live at the 50th anniversary in Sweden.

Australia would be the best place for a second one, after what Australia did for ABBA after they won euro vision and no one really playing their songs after Waterloo, im sure ABBA owe us one. There really needs to be a central location for the second one, and i would say Adelaide, South Australia would be a good choice.

Being from Melbourne I would love to see Voyage come here. I travelled to London last year to see the show and I believe others would do the same here, incorporating it together with holiday. Plenty in Australia will come to see the show just like the stage show Mamma Mia, bring it on I say 😃👌🎼❤️

Hi BB. I have travelled to London 3 times to see Voyage 10 times. I am from Melbourne and cannot see how a population of only 5 million could sustain a multi-year residency. We are so far away from the rest of the world. 23 hours flight time from London and 15 hours from the USA west coast. With all my heart I want Voyage in Melbourne, but I think it makes more sense to set up in Las Vegas or some other world tourist destination that is more accessible and can attract hundreds of thousands over the coming years. Love you BB.

We knew that they wouldn't be there in person. They had said it very clearly and I understand them so well. They won the Eurovision contest and became very big from there on but they don't owe anything to Eurovision. I think it's Eurovision who owes them more. I'm greatful for having seen an excerpt of Voyage, as I haven't been there, although you say it's not the same. I didn't expect anything else. They appeared together when they should, which was the launch of their last project together. It was a great gift, as we thought it wouldn't never happen. I'm happy with them. The rest of this year's Eurovision was awful, and I was only interested in the Abba part. It was better for them not to be there in person.

I live in Melbourne also so very exciting! Flemington Racecourse is widely agreed to be the - or one of the - premier horse racing venues in the world with capacity for over 100,000 meaning it is very well serviced by both public transport (train 10 minutes from the city, tram also) and car parking. It’s a modern but also traditional and classy facility befitting of ABBA and Voyage 👍

Really, really !!! Ha ha. I , personally, think it will be Australia because they received such a rapturous reception there and it is huge country. Surely, they will make loads of money there.

I mean, I knew that it wasn't going to happen, but them saying a band beginning with A, and they had a bunch of hits. I thought they were going to bring out Ace Of Base instead. When that wasn't going to happen, then I was even more annoyed. It's just massive letdown.

I saw the show in London 3 times and live in the Melbourne so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I don’t know about Flemington though, I feel it needs to be a little closer to the CBD

I was with my yellow cap in front of the stage dancing when the video was made it. I saw my self and was 1 minute. I couldn't believe it, but for me seeing myself was just WOW, I LOVE IT, and brought up to me the most beautiful memory

They had a whole year to prepare something significant for the Waterloo 50th and it failed to deliver. I presumed it would be something to do with the Abbatars and surely something new could have been put together instead of a recycled part of the Voyage show. Waterloo was a watershed moment in pop music history and it was utterly underwhelming..a lost opportunity to celebrate something very special..😔

If you can't have the real thing (and I believe they tried everything), you can work with other material: music, video, history, etc. This wasn't it. I didn't like this year's contest at all. I expected more from the Swedish broadcaster/host country. Our queen, Loreen, was also very underwhelming during the finale. Some jokes were pretty funny. Others were misplaced. The entire "heterosexual" man thing was a disaster. Eurovision is loved by the gay community, but definitely not owned by us. Maybe we should focus more on producing really good songs and less on the craziness in the future.
